Family Fest

In union with our Holy Father Pope Francis' consecration of the World to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Sunday Oct. 13th, St. Joseph’s held a Holy Hour after the main Mass. Before the Blessed Sacrament was exposed, we offered the Holy Rosary and other personal prayers. Confessions were also being heard during this grace-filled time.

Afterward, the Sacred Banquet over-flowed into a community pot-luck banquet. Hungry mouths quickly consumed the buffet (which was better organized than ever!), but the social hall proved inadequate in size to accommodate the participants.

Favorite Oktoberfest brewskies capped off the meal perfectly.

The banquet hall was transformed into a dance hall instantaneously—or so it seemed—with many helping hands and a proper division of labor. With the music and expert instruction of caller Larry Winegard, the community learned that a circle can have many ‘corners’.

Thank you to all who helped make this event a fun time for all.
